I'm working on part two of shady places right now. Glad you enjoyed it. Kaneda will be on another series I want do to similar to Arika, same futuristic gritty scifi style.
I just try many different setups before I'm ready for the final render. Lighting part on my renders sometimes takes days. Once I'm happy with it, I use the same lights for the entire series. I usually I set 1 key, 1 fill, 2 edge lights.
